The Free Software / Open Source Software Association (FS / OSSA) recently organized a conference entitled “Open Source: Opportunity Development” in various cities. Also, last Sunday (22/05/11), I had the opportunity to attend the one-day workshop held at the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki.
Beyond the constructive opportunities and general socializing with various persons and members of the communities GreekLUG and OpenSUSE, I think that the best presentation was the following:
Debian: 17 years and counting [Stefano Zacchiroli (Debian Project Leader)]
It was our great pleasure to welcome and we get to know personally Stefano Zacchiroli (Project Leader of the Debian Project). He was an excellent and captivating speaker. I was quite pleased with the fact that the Debian Project makes great progress and it continues to support its original values without leaning right and left like other distributions usually do. After the presentation we had a private conversation about the Debian Project. More specifically, we talked about some issues related to QA and Development teams of the Project.
